Aperture Application Design

Aperture is an application  meant to help users understand their organization’s business and technology architecture and all of the relationships between them.  For example, a large multinational company may have many offices in different cities, with each office doing different things, using different applications to perform their work, which in turn are hosted in different data centers.  The name – Aperture– is use for its role in a camera, where focal length and aperture determine what comes into focus in an image.  Using this analogy, users can use the application to focus in on certain parts of their organization.
