I love this design concept! It allows for a minimal, simplistic design while still allowing A LOT of color. I think with the right colors, you could definitely display these on a white background, and in some cases the white space would actually make the logo more effective. When used correctly, this type of logo could be really great, as it could easily capture a viewer's attention.
